WEEK 2 SHADOW WORK

Shadow Work Guide

The Parts of You You've Rejected

What is Shadow Work? Your shadow contains the parts of you that you've disowned—your anger, neediness, selfishness, shame. Shadow work is learning to accept these parts. They're not your enemy.
What Emotions Do You Judge in Yourself?
Anger? Jealousy? Neediness? Greed? Lust? Weakness? Write them down. These are often shadow elements.
What Do You Hate in Other People?
When someone really bothers you, it's often a mirror of something you disown in yourself. What people drive you crazy?
What Parts of You Were "Wrong" Growing Up?
Were you too sensitive? Too angry? Too needy? Too independent? What did your family reject?
Your Addiction as Shadow
What need was your addiction meeting? Power? Escape? Numbing? Connection? Your drug was filling a shadow need.

Shadow Work Guide

Integration Work
Pick one shadow element. Instead of rejecting it, how could you USE it? Anger can fuel boundaries. Neediness teaches you to ask for help.
Compassionate Statement
Write a compassionate message to the rejected parts of you. Forgive yourself for disowning them. Tell them they're welcome back.
