Getting Started
Is this program right for me?
If you're struggling with substance abuse, alcohol, or behavioral addiction—or if you're in recovery and want deeper work—yes. This program is designed for people in hospitality, high-stress jobs, and anyone who needs tools that actually work in the real world. You don't need to be sober yet. You just need to be willing.
Do I have to be sober to start?
No. Some people start while still using and find it helps them get clean. Others start after getting sober and use it to prevent relapse. This program meets you where you are, not where you think you should be.
How do I get started?
Start with the free tools: Stress Management, Anxiety & Depression, CBT Tools, and Relapse Prevention. Download the workbooks from Resources. If you want personalized coaching and the full 6-week program, book a session or choose a coaching plan.
What if I can't afford coaching?
All the core tools and worksheets are available to download for free. The 6-week program worksheets are free. Coaching is optional—many people use this program successfully on their own. We also offer sliding scale pricing for those with financial barriers.
The Program
What's the difference between the free tools and coaching?
Free tools give you worksheets, guides, and resources to work through on your own. Coaching adds personalized accountability, deeper guidance, crisis support, and someone who's been where you are to walk alongside you. It's the difference between a gym membership and a personal trainer.
How long is the 6-week program?
42 days, roughly 6 weeks. Each week focuses on a different phase: foundation, patterns, healing, embodiment, spiritual growth, and integration. You work at your own pace—some people do one week per week, others take longer.
Can I do this program while working full-time?
Yes. The worksheets take 30-60 minutes per day depending on how deep you go. Most people work through them in the morning, evening, or during breaks. The program is designed for people with real lives and real jobs.
What if I relapse during the program?
That's not failure—that's data. Call the crisis line. Reach out to your coach if you have one. Do the grounding exercises. Then pick up where you left off. Relapse is part of recovery for many people. This program doesn't shame you for it.
Recovery & Sobriety
I've tried recovery before and failed. Why would this be different?
Because this isn't about willpower or shame. It's about preparation, structure, and having the right tools for YOUR specific triggers and challenges. Most programs are generic. This one is built by someone who's lived in kitchens and knows the real world of hospitality.
How do I handle triggers at work?
That's what the Stress Management and Crisis Resources sections are for. You'll learn grounding techniques, how to manage cravings in the moment, and how to set boundaries in high-stress environments. The Hospitality Industry guide has specific strategies for bars, restaurants, and hotels.
What if my family doesn't support my recovery?
Families are complicated, especially after betrayal and broken promises. The program has resources for rebuilding trust and amends-making. Some people also benefit from family counseling. You can't control their support—but you can control showing up for yourself.
How do I prevent relapse?
Prep your station. Have your coping strategies ready before you need them. Know your triggers. Have a support system. Use the Relapse Prevention worksheets to create a personalized plan. And if you feel at risk, reach out—call 988 or text a trusted friend.
Coaching & Support
What happens in a coaching session?
You tell me what's going on. We identify patterns. We practice tools. We plan next steps. No judgment. No lectures. Just someone who's been in the weeds helping you find solid ground. Sessions can be whatever you need—crisis support, deep work, or accountability check-ins.
How often should I meet with a coach?
That depends on where you are. If you're in active addiction or high crisis, more frequent is better. If you're stable and doing the work, monthly might be enough. We can adjust based on your needs and what's working.
Can I access crisis support?
Yes. Both through the Intensive coaching plan (24-hour support) and through the Crisis Resources page (988, Crisis Text Line, SAMHSA hotline). You're never alone in this.
Is everything I share confidential?
Yes, with the limits of confidentiality law (imminent danger to self or others). Your story, your struggles, your progress—that's between us. Privacy and trust are everything.
Hospitality Workers
Is this program specific to hospitality?
The core principles work for anyone. But yes—this program is built BY a chef FOR hospitality workers. It understands the high stress, irregular hours, easy access, peer culture, and unique pressures of restaurants, bars, and hotels.
How do I stay sober while working in a bar or restaurant?
First, it's possible and people do it. Second, the program has specific strategies for hospitality environments. Third, sometimes a career shift is part of recovery—and that's okay too. We can work through what's right for you.
What about the culture of drinking in hospitality?
It's real. It's normalized. And you don't have to be part of it. The Stress Management and Relapse Prevention sections have specific tools for setting boundaries, handling social pressure, and finding connection without substances.
I've lost jobs because of addiction. How do I rebuild?
Honestly, and slowly. Sobriety first, then stability, then rebuilding reputation. Many chefs have done this. It's not about the job you lost—it's about who you're becoming. The program helps with that identity shift.
